3GM_RADIO_OCCULTATIONS
3GM Radio Occultations
The radio science experiment 3GM, with its dual-frequency radio links (X and Ka-band) referenced to an ultrastable oscillator (USO), is performed as JUICE spacecraft moves in and out of occultation. USO unmuted, HAA in NOMINAL SCIENCE.
Note that 2 other options exist for torus occultations but are not (yet) defined in the database

Latitudes should be repeated at regular intervals to characterise evolution of wave phenomena and middle-atmospheric temperatures. Occultation observations are event-driven and defined by the Earth-SC line reaching the '1-bar level plus 1000 km'. This observation should be preceded by 3GM_HAA_CALIBRATION
any rule that is used to schedule the observation: repetition rules, continuous (plasma instruments), one-off, every orbit, every day, etc
N/A
conditions that make the observation not possible (e.g. thruster firing)
