Mnemonic:
RIM_GANYMEDE_N1_2
Name:
RIM_GANYMEDE_N1_2
Description:
Ganymede Nominal Acquisitions (N1) in low vertical resolution (LR) mode until 9km depth in the anti-Jovian side of Ganymede considering on-board processing with presuming factor Np of 2.
Payload:
RIME
Pointing
Pointing Type:
nadir
Target:
5
PTRSnippet file:
Advanced
Scheduling Rules:
Anti-Jovian Side.
any rule that is used to schedule the observation: repetition rules, continuous (plasma instruments), one-off, every orbit, every day, etc
Avoidance Rules:
Jovian Side.
conditions that make the observation not possible (e.g. thruster firing)
Comments:
Since it is expected that Jupiter radio emissions might interfere with RIME data acquisition, it is assumed that RIME will mainly operate on the anti-Jovian hemisphere of its target, when Jupiter is completely hidden behind the observed body. The resulting maximum potential coverage on Ganymede satisfying this condition is a roughly circular area centered at 180°E, 0°N having a ~3000 km radius.
