Mnemonic:
RINGMATTER
Name:
RINGMATTER
Description:
RINGMATTER. Observations of the main rings and the gossamer rings, imaging the ring ansae from moderately large elevation.
The moderatly large elevation will reveal azimuthal structure in the rings and the presence of clumps at the resolution limit of the imaging.
Trajectories:
CREMA_5_0, CREMA_5_0b23_1, CREMA_5_1_150lb_23_1, CREMA_5_1_150lb_23_1_a3, CREMA_5_1_150lb_23_1_b2, CREMA_5_2

Scheduling rules:
Phase angle: 120 < phase_angle < 150 deg
opening angle 2 < |B| < 30 deg
• max_dist to Jupiter limited to <=1.883e6 (Callisto orbit)
Additional rule, not searched automatically: segment duration must cover a substantial span of the ring orbital period (~7 hours), during which variations in phase and opening angle remain limited.
