Opportunity implementation in geopipeline
Search for the maximum latitude crossing is done in steps:
1- Finding the latitude crossing events +5 deg, N2S and S2N
2- For each occurrence of type S2N, we are indeed flying toward higher northern latitude
3-Find the maximum of latitude reached from the S2N event to the next N2S
4-Define the segment as a window +-10 h around the time where the maximum latitude value has been found
NOTE: there is no avoidance of the PERIJOVE SEGMENT implemented
