Jupiter Nadir MAJ Scan
Observations of Jupiter clouds and spectroscopy of minor gases.
Scanning the instrument slit over Jovian disk (vertical direction) by means of internal pointing mirror, both dayside and nightside. Aims to cover at least the entire equatorial region (-30°:+30°) during low inclination phases and the polar regions during high inclination phase.

Duration: typically 20min/cube, max 30 min/cube, assuming 2.1 s per line

Advanced

Most common MAJIS observing types for Jupiter.
Every three Earth days. If data volume is available, a set of 2-3 cubes (depending on distance) shall be acquired for a full longitudinal coverage of the visible hemisphere every Jupiter rotation (9.55 h). This requires re-pointing between individual cubes. See MAJ_JUP_DISK_MOSAIC
any rule that is used to schedule the observation: repetition rules, continuous (plasma instruments), one-off, every orbit, every day, etc
out of eclipses, observations are not performed when the optical axis of satellite is not compliant with EID-MAJ-02050
